Jon Foote
Director and Principal Consultant

Jon has spent over 10 years working in Business Intelligence with experience across a vast range of industries.

He has managed BI projects for local and central government and all size of companies including logistics, airports, manufacturing and retail.

One of Jon’s passions is increasing peoples skills and knowledge in BI, he is experienced at leading training courses for new developers through to end users, he has a particular interest in helping organisations to develop modern data analytics that follow best practice visualisation methods enabling end users to get the most out of their reporting.

Jon has experience with the three top tools in the market: Qlik, Power BI and Tableau, so is able to provide a unique perspective and independent advice on a range of approaches to BI

Jon became a member of the Institute of Directors in 2018

Hayden Park
Director and Principal Consultant

Hayden has over 18 years consulting experience, the majority of this specialising in implementing data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.

His experience has been a blend of consulting, in-house project execution and operating business units with heavy analytical workloads.

His professional journey has taken him around the globe, working in New Zealand, Australia and the UK in varied industries including financial services, aviation, health, utilities and more.

Owen Sarll
Lead Consultant

Owen began his journey in the IT industry cutting RPG400 code in the UK in the late 1990s. From ERP consultant to web developer and Business Intelligence consultant, he has gained a wide range of technical skills across several different industries. Recent years has seen a focus on all things data-related within the Microsoft technology stack.

Owen always puts the customer first and is passionate about delivering pragmatic solutions to complex business issues.

He has a BSc (Hons) and a Microsoft BI MCSE.

Dan Murphy
BI Consultant

Dan started in Business Intelligence in 2014 after spending 7 years working in the trades. His time in BI has seen him working on the Microsoft BI Stack including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI

Dan has a passion for simplifying peoples jobs through the use of BI by turning data into information that aids in efficiencies and the effectiveness of an organisation

Dan earned Bachelors degree in Information Technology from Otago Polytechnic in 2014.

Adriano Casanova
Senior Consultant

Adriano has more than 15 years of international experience in software implementations, development and reporting. His in-depth understanding of how businesses work and the operational and strategic interactions within them, Adriano develops and delivers practical, workable solutions.

Adriano is a certified Qlik Sense Business Analyst and thoroughly enjoys gathering requirements and delivering accurate and insightful analytics and business solutions.

His professional practice as a Business Analyst and BI Analyst operates from a framework of excellence and quality improvement and was recently recognised with the award of a Bachelor of Applied Management – majoring in Business Information Systems.

Nick Burns
Data Scientist

Nick is a data scientist with more than 5 years of hands-on experience in developing predictive solutions using machine learning and artificial intelligence. Nick has helped companies rethink how they approach tough business problems, using machine learning for automation, anomaly detection, predictive analytics and AI to surface relevant insights. Data science can help companies minimise the pain points that all business suffer under, freeing up their team to focus on high-value tasks rather than the everyday drudgery that consumes most of our time.

With an undergraduate degree in chemistry, a Masters in Data Science from The University of Otago and current Microsoft certifications in machine learning and artificial intelligence, Nick is passionate about the innovation that data science can bring to every industry. Advances in natural language understanding, computer vision and optimal decision making present new opportunities for businesses to rethink how they operate efficiently and optimally.

Victoria Calderwood

Victoria solidified her passion for data in 2016 after diving headfirst into the SQL Server Stack. Since then she’s worked across a diverse range of software solutions from Payroll and HR to Mobile and Web Apps, IoT and BI Development, as well as in a range of different roles from customer and technical support to the strategic level. Victoria’s skillset enables her to identify the bigger picture in developing IT solutions that are not only achievable but optimised and customer centric.

UX Design being another of Victoria’s interests, she brings experience in design with a focus on usability and accessibility for end-users. Her enthusiasm for good design is applied when creating data visualisations in Power BI, ensuring users can quickly and easily exploit their data.

She has a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technologies (BICT) with Distinction.
